Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe (born in America) is an American country and pop artist. She released two singles in 2007 and an album entitled Satisfied. In 2013, she debuted her second album, Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe has been in public service for over fifteen years and has spent five of those years as the city's deputy manager in Iowa City. Her current duties as Assistant Village Manager includes the management of the Community Development and Building Department in coordinating grant applications and working on special initiatives. In Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of village services and working towards the vision for strategic planning of elected officials as well as the community. Prior roles include the municipal planning, budgeting for communications, staff management, collective bargaining and concentration on climate action initiatives. Because of her involvement with local and national organisations as well as her work with communities with diverse populations, Ashley has gained insight on the complexity of differences and similarities with the way public institutions function. Ashley's course focuses on leadership, management and public administration from the point of view of a practicing practitioner. She focuses on adapting strategies and ethical decisions in order to meet today's opportunities and challenges, and manage intergovernmental relations.
